Addiction and Recovery

  • 245 Lexington Rd. Waterloo, Ontario Canada (map)

Many people struggle with being caught in the grip of an addictive cycle. Addiction can be related to many different types of behaviour (e.g. substance use, eating, sex, internet, social media, etc.). Bob and Helga Edwards plan to present information about how to understand and recover from addiction, as well as how to support others who struggle.

Bob and Helga have been married since 1988 and have been Public Speakers and Therapists since 1996. Both have Bachelors’ degrees in Religious Education and Social Development Studies, and Masters’ degrees in Social Work. They plan to speak from their professional training and to include some helpful biblical principles in their presentation.

This is an information session; those in attendance will not be required to share any personal information.

This event will be held at Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church (in the chapel), 245 Lexington Rd. Waterloo, on Tuesday April 25th, from 7-9 p.m.. There will be an opportunity for a free-will offering.
